About the experience
You and your family are creating memories to last a lifetime - I get that. That's why my focus is as much on the journey, as it is on the photos themselves! My goal for our shoot together? To make sure you feel relaxed, comfortable and natural each step of the way. I am aware that many people feel anxious on the day of their shoot (especially the dads!), so I make sure to keep the atmosphere relaxed, comfortable and natural. I will guide you gently when necessary and encourage you so we can create something truly special in front of (and behind!)the camera. Most importantly though – know that at every stage your satisfaction matters most!

Secure your date.
With a date, time and location booked for your special occasion, it's official! I'll be sending you an all-inclusive document that includes our terms and conditions and invoice to make sure you're booking is all completed and your date secure.
Time to get excited!
Now that everything’s set, I want to make sure you feel ready for our shoot! To make sure you have everything you need for our shoot, I'll send you my guide to ensure it goes off without a hitch. This has everything from how to get to our studio and what to bring if we decide indoors is better suited for what you need, tips on packing just in case we take it outdoors and clothing tips for getting that perfect look.
After our shoot.
As soon as I enter my door, I'll start working on downloading and backing up your images. Soon, you'll have access to all of your edited high-resolution photos in an online gallery. We can then turn them into a stunning album or gallery wall that you and your family can keep forever.
FAQ'S

What happens if it rains or we are sick?
We make sure to keep a regular eye on the weather and Metservice warnings or advice and will make a call on the day within a couple hours of your shoot. If we are rained out we will postpone and find a new time / day that suits. If you, your family or I are sick, we can easily reschedule no problem. Better to be safe than sorry with illnesses and wee babies.

When's the best time to book a maternity session?
The best time to book a maternity session is when you're between 32-36 weeks along. You should still feel comfortable at this point and this hopefully gives you enough time to get these precious photos in case bubs comes early. Anything earlier and your lovely bump might not seem as round as you'd like in the photos.

How old should baby be for newborn sessions?
The ideal time for a newborn session is between 1-2 weeks old, especially for the posed sessions. This way bubs is still nice and sleeping and happy to be swaddled in cute wraps. To make sure we can fit you into this 1-2 week window, please book early in your pregnancy.
That doesn't mean we can't get lovely pictures with older bubs though!

What happens after the session?
Once the session is over, I will get going on editing your images. You may see a sneak peak up on our Instagram and Facebook page, and then your digital files will be available from an online gallery within 2-3 weeks post shoot.

When is payment due?
A 20% deposit is due at the time of booking to secure your date and the remainder is due one week prior to your session. This is a non refundable payment but can be transferred to another date in case of bad weather or emergency.

Do you offer payment plans?
At this stage we don't offer payment plans, keep a watch out in case this changes.
